Mahasiswa Magister Teknik Elektro (MTE), Universitas Syiah Kuala, mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya pada Seminar Internasional ICOICT (The 6th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology) di Bandung – Indonesia, dilaksanakan 3-5 Mei 2018, dan disponsori oleh IEEE Indonesia Section. Artikel seminar ini akan diterbitkan oleh IEEE dan diindeks oleh Scopus. ICoICT 2018 diselenggarakan oleh Telkom University Indonesia and Multimedia University Malaysia.
Fajari Arief Setia mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya dengan judul “Collison-Aware Rate Adaptation Algorithm for High-Troughput IEEE 802.11n WLANs” dibawah bimbingan Dr.teuku Yuliar Arif dan Dr.Rizal Munadi.
Dua mahasiswa Magister Teknik Elektro (MTE), Universitas Syiah Kuala, mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya pada Seminar Internasional ECTI-NCON (Northern Section of Electrical Engineering/Electrical, Computer Telecommunications and Information Technology (ECTI) Association), di Propinsi Chiang Rai, Thailand. Seminar NCON dilaksanakan dari tanggal 25-28 Februari 2018, dan disponsori oleh IEEE Thailand Section. Artikel seminar ini akan diterbitkan oleh IEEE dan diindeks oleh Scopus. Seminar ini dihadiri oleh sekitar 70 presenter dari lebih sepuluh negara termasuk Indonesia, Thailand, Jepang, USA, Singapore, Tunisia, Perancis,Filipina, Vietnam, India dan Korea.
Mentari Bella Al Rasyid mempresentasikan hasil penelitiannya tentang kemungkinan penggunaan citra thermal untuk deteksi kanker payudara. Penelitian ini didanai oleh Universitas Syiah Kuala, melalui skim H-Indeks. Sedangkan Novira Dwina, mempresentasikan tentang segmentasi warna busana untuk meningkatkan kinerja sistem temu kembali citra secara otomatis, yang didanai oleh Hibah Tim Pascasarjana RistekDikti.
Presentasi pada seminar internasional merupakan pengalaman pertama bagi Mentari dan Novira. Mereka merasakan manfaat positif dari kegiatan seperti ini, diantaranya: dapat bertemu langsung dengan orang-orang penting pada bidang penelitian terkait, menambah wawasan tentang perkembangan riset dari berbagai negara, mengasah kemampuan public speaking menggunakan Bahasa Inggris, dan membangun jaringan bidang teknik elektro dan teknologi informasi dengan peneliti dari berbagai negara.
Dr. Fitri Arnia sebagai Ketua Prodi MTE dan pembimbing kedua mahasiswa tersebut berharap kegiatan seperti ini bisa terus berlanjut dan membudaya di kalangan dosen dan mahasiswa MTE Unsyiah.

The conference will be held on October 18-20, 2017, in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This conference is hosted and organized by Syiah Kuala University, the largest and the oldest public university in Aceh Province, Indonesia. This conference is also co-organized by the Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computer Sciences (APTIKOM) and the Cooperation Agency of Public Universities in the Western Region of Indonesia (BKS PTN Barat). PAPER SUBMISSION
Papers should contain original material which is not currently under review in any other conference or journal and has not been previously published. All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six printed pages standard IEEE conference two-column format including figures. All submitted papers will go through a peer review process. Questions about paper submissions or the conference program can be addressed to any of the Program Chairs. ICELTICs 2017 has been approved by IEEE for Technical co-sponsorship with conference record number #42067. Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers for presentation at the conference. At least one author of each accepted papers must register for the conference to be included in the program. All accepted and presented papers are expected to be included in IEEE Xplore Digital Library and will be indexed by EI Compendex which normally also indexed by Scopus SciVerse.
